Duties and Responsibilities:

A healthcare administrator is responsible for the facility business management and whatever operation they are running such as a hospital or nursing home. Also, a healthcare manager may be a department head possibly responsible for the hiring and supervising of staff.

Salary:

Master’s Degree
                      

Reflection:

I wouldn’t like to be a health care administrator, I find the job to be very boring. I want to take action and do actual operations on people. These people have to be on point with their management.

                Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) Specialist


Duties and Responsibilities:

Ear, nose and throat specialists, also called ENTs,  they specialize in managing and treating  disorders of the head and neck, including the ears, nose throat, sinuses, voice box (and other structures. ENTs are trained in the medical and surgical management of disease.

Salary:

$237, 788 - $ 439, 765

Education:

4  year undergraduate program
4 year medical program
1-2 year residency program
 5 Years of specialty training


Reflection:

I would not enjoy so be a EMT.  I mean isn’t not a bad job it pays well and treating people is kind of my thing, but this job would for sure be a no from me.

                          Dentist


Duties and Responsibilities:

Dentists are responsible for diagnosing and treating problems with the teeth, gums, and tissue in the mouth. Dentists will meet with patients in their office routinely and remove tooth decay, fill cavities, repair teeth, and treat gum diseases.

Reflection:


I would like to become a Dentist.  It seems like a fun job, when I was younger I used to hate going to the dentist. I mean I still do… a bit. But it’s cool when they give you the baggie. I used to get toys and stuff!! But now I only get the tooth brush and other grown up things.  Well never mind that. Now that I am older, I would like to go more in depth with this field.

Reflection:

This job seems pretty cool. I would enjoy doing this type of work. It’s pretty awesome to see the way the musculoskeletal system actually works and its different type of disorders.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Cardiologist are physicians who have received additional training to prevent, diagnose and treat conditions of the cardiovascular system, which includes heart and body blood vessels.

Reflection:

I would like to  be a cardiologist. I like how they focus on the human body and things that I like to focus on.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Audiologist are ear specialist. Typically, these professionals work with patients who have problems with hearing, balance, or other ear related problems.  Common duties of these workers include identifying, assessing and treating hearing problems and balance disorders, discussing symptoms with patients, documenting treatment, ordering equipment and hiring employees.

Reflection:

I wouldn’t like to be one because checking people’s ears is not my thing. I would get really bored of this job. I mean the job seems quite easy but, is it really? I want something much more intense

              Athletic Trainer

Duties and Responsibilities:

Athletic trainers diagnose and treat injuries to bone and muscle under the direction of licensed doctors or other health-care professionals. They work with anyone who engages in athletic activities, from elementary school children on playgrounds to professional athletics in Olympic competition. They prevent injury through the use of devices such as tape and braces, recognize and evaluate injuries, and provide emergency care. They rehabilitate hurt athletes and plan programs to prevent injury and illness. They also perform administrative tasks such as meeting with administrative officials, keeping records and dealing with sports budgets.

Reflection:



I would like to be one. The job seems really easy.  If someone gets hurt you mostly just get them fixed up and try to care for their wounds or soreness, Which is a good thing.  It’s like you’re your own mini hospital and or clinic.

911 emergency dispatchers often are the first people contacted when emergency assistance is needed. They might work at call centers, police stations, fire stations or hospitals.

Reflection:



No I wouldn’t. I am not a calm person and when you are a ambulance dispatcher you have to be calm as possible. I am more of a person that likes taking control of things, not just sit around and wait for a phone to ring. Sadly, it’s the truth.
